New Family | Edmonton Maternity and Newborn Photographer
I am so behind on my blogging….as per usual it seems : )
This super cute couple welcomed a sweet baby boy to their family. This momma is a natural. She was raised in a HUGE family and has lots of experience with little ones.

I love it when babies give me little pouty faces. It makes their lips so plump and squishy.

The little guys daddy is a natural too. You can tell there is lots of love for this little guy.

{thank you J and R for allowing me to capture these memories for you. It was a pleasure to meet the both of you and little Liam.}

Miss Ava had the longest eyelashes I had ever seen on a newborn. They even looked like they were curled slightly. She came to see me while my friend Stefanie Harrington from Stefanie Harrington Photography was in town for a short little visit.

I can honestly say that having an assistant to help with posing makes sessions go super smooth and allows you to finally nail poses you are unable to do by yourself. The newborn head on arms has been a pose that I have tried and tried to do without success, but with Stef’s help, I was finally able to do it!!

{thank you M and V for bringing your sweet baby girl to visit Stefanie and me. Thanks to Stefanie for all of your help, it was great to have another set of hands helping.}

This is Houston, little brother to Hudson.
Hudson’s newborn session is the session I compare all of my newborn sessions to. He was and still is one of the best newborns I have ever had the opportunity to photograph. He slept and pose like a dream. He even has a canvas of one of my favourite shots on my canvas wall in the studio. When his mommy called and said she had a new arrival, I was beyond ecstatic.
Even before I had the chance to meet Houston, I had super high expectations of him
Houston exceeded my expectations and was a dream to photograph –even though he wanted to be awake and not sleep as much as me and his mommy had wanted him to, he was still a wonderful model.
Hudson on the other hand…..didn’t want anything to do with what we were doing. I think we used up all of his modeling ability at his newborn session. So sadly, we didn’t get any of the two brothers together.
His momma joked with me at the end….So Hudson goes from the Best Newborn Ever to the Worst Toddler Ever? No way I said. Becoming a big brother at 26 months is tough stuff.

{thanks Kyley and Collin for trusting me again to capture these moments for you with Houston. It was a great pleasure to photograph your newest addition.”

What an amazing little guy, with such a unique name….Atticus.
His parents wanted their little guy to have an unique and strong name and I think Atticus suits this calm and content little guy to a tee.

I just love his little feet.

Cute and calm, just hanging out in his twiggy basket.

You can really see how tiny he really is when he is laying on top of this chair.
{Thank you for coming out to see me. I hope it was worth the travel.}

Sweet baby girl Sarah is a sweet blessing to her parents and older sister.

Isn’t she gorgeous! Look at her chub already.

This pose was inspired by her older sister and I think it turned out amazingly.

And the beautiful momma.
{thank you for coming out in the snow to see me. I am so thrilled with how the images turned out. Thanks big sister A for being such a great helper and inspiring me with the hand shot. I hope the images are everything you wanted and more.}
3 commentsWhere did May go?
Seriously! Where did the month of May go? One moment it was May 1st, the next it’s June 2nd. I think I lost an entire month and didn’t even realize it.
So, I am once again doing a month long recap of the happenings at Blue Frame, instead of giving sneak peeks.
The end of April and the begining of May brought tones of bellies and babies to the studio. (here is just a sampling of the bellies and babies I had the great pleasure in photographing.)
This couples super cute baby arrived about one week after our belly session. Scaring the bejeebers out of her parents!! (I know it would scare the bejeebers out of me!)
But I am happy to say all is well, and the wee little Aleigh is doing fine. (her sneak peek will come soon, I promise.)

{I am so thrilled to hear that Aleigh arrived safe and sound, even if it was way earlier than expected.}
This momma-to-be is from the NWT. She travelled 16 hours to come and see me….How cool is that!
I was really hoping that I would get to meet her little guy, but travelling that far with a brand new wee-one can be challenging and frightening all at the same time.

Inspiration for the scarf blowing in the wind from the one and only Carrie Sandoval from Captured by Carrie.
{Thank you for visiting me Amy. I am so glad you found me. I would love to meet the little guy down the road. The love you and William share with eachother is so beautiful and real.}
The little guy in this momma’s tummy didn’t stop moving. All thoughout her pregancy, the little guy inside moved non-stop! Her doctors worried that he might arrive early like his big sister did, but he held on tight and arrived about 2 weeks before his scheduled arrival.

{Kim and Liam, your family so beautiful. Thank you for giving me the oppertunity to share in these special moments with you. I feel truly honoured.}
This beautiful couple also had a little guy! April and May were just chalked full of little guys.
It’s so magical meeting couples who have been together since they were very young.
All of the patience and hard work paid off, your little guy is a breath of fresh air!

{Erin and Chris, you guys are amazing. Little Noah is also quite amazing if I do say so myself! Thank you for seeking me out. I hope your sessions were exactly what you were looking for and more.}
Now I am going to present what seems to be the only little girl who came to visit me since my last entry. (Little girls are very rare some months.)
This sweet little gal has one of the prettiest names…Summer.
She was an amazing little model. She was content and peaceful other than frowing her eye brows at me for pretty much the entire session. (No matter what I did, she kept on frowing her eye brows together –so I dubbed her the super serious baby.)

{An early congrats to Summer’s mom and dad on their up coming wedding. I hope it’s everything you ever dreamed of and more.}

I have been such a bad blogger again! This time it’s been a whole month since my last post –where did the time go?
So, we are going to share what has been going on the past month…..
We have cute little Ella, who is the little peanut of the stunning mama in the previous blog post.

One of my favourite daddy daughter images of the year so far!

{thank you for being so wonderful and patient. I knew if we could just hold on, magic would happen.}
Little Man Jack was so flexible and content, it blew my mind. Thank to daddy for helping me produce one of my other favourite daddy and baby poses of the year!

{Thank you Jack’s mama and dad for allowing me to play!}
A BIG shout out to Kristen Cook from Australia for being my inspiration during Jack’s shoot.
I would also like to welcome little miss Emma to the blog. She was a dream poser.

and stretcher : )

{thank you Meg and Dan for allowing me the pleasure to photograph sweet Emma.}
Last but certainly not least, miss Dienne.

{Thank you Rachel and Darwin for bringing your sweet little girl to me. She was probably one of the most content newborns I have ever had the pleasure to photograph!}
There are two more newborns to be shared…but we are going to save them for another day. There are also a couple of bellies that need to be unveiled and one uber cute 6 month old that also needs to make a return visit to the blog.
Until next time….take care. (I promise, it won’t be another month before I share again!)
