Are You Ready | Edmonton Maternity Photographer
Have you ever walked down the magazine asle in your local grocery store and found someone who is clearly not pregnant or with a child reading maternity and parenting magazines? If you have, that person you have seen was probably me.
One of my favourite maternity magazines is Fit Pregnancy. If you are pregnant and haven’t read this magazine before I strongly urge you to go out and find it. The articles are great and touch on some of the choices now available for new moms.
A recent article that inspired me to write this post was called “Are you Ready–what no one tells you about birth & new motherhood”.
People tend to only tell you about the fun and lovey dovey part of pregancy and childbirth. If people really knew what embarrassing things that could happen to them during pregnancy and childbirth, people would stop having babies all together. (just kidding….)
Loud farting, pooping on the delivery table, big gushes of water when your water breaks is all part of giving birth. It happens to everyone. (except for me, because I haven’t given birth yet or been pregnant yet…but I have heard from a reliable source that….it happens. No matter how hard you try to stop it.)
If you have a funny and or embarrassing moment to share, please feel free to add your story in the comment portion of this post.
Thanks for reading. Take care.

Waiting for his arrival was a quite the task. This proud mom to be (for the second time) wasn’t sure when the little guy was going to arrive. “It could be any day now”…she professed.
He arrived slightly ahead of schedule, into his parents arms at home. Home birthing is truly a remarkable thing.

Jorja Jorja Jorja. I could just eat this little girl up!! She is so freaking cute, it’s unbelieveable.
I love her cubby cheeks, her big beautiful dark eyes, she super long eyelashes and they way she wanted to stick out her tongue at me for at least half of her session
(life doesn’t get any better than that.)
Here are a couple from her session.
Just wearing her hat, wasn’t really an option.

She really didn’t want to sit on my chair, and you can totally tell from her expression.
I totally love her two tiny bottom teeth when she smiled, oh so cute.
