Where did May go?
Seriously! Where did the month of May go? One moment it was May 1st, the next it’s June 2nd. I think I lost an entire month and didn’t even realize it.
So, I am once again doing a month long recap of the happenings at Blue Frame, instead of giving sneak peeks.
The end of April and the begining of May brought tones of bellies and babies to the studio. (here is just a sampling of the bellies and babies I had the great pleasure in photographing.)
This couples super cute baby arrived about one week after our belly session. Scaring the bejeebers out of her parents!! (I know it would scare the bejeebers out of me!)
But I am happy to say all is well, and the wee little Aleigh is doing fine. (her sneak peek will come soon, I promise.)

{I am so thrilled to hear that Aleigh arrived safe and sound, even if it was way earlier than expected.}
This momma-to-be is from the NWT. She travelled 16 hours to come and see me….How cool is that!
I was really hoping that I would get to meet her little guy, but travelling that far with a brand new wee-one can be challenging and frightening all at the same time.

Inspiration for the scarf blowing in the wind from the one and only Carrie Sandoval from Captured by Carrie.
{Thank you for visiting me Amy. I am so glad you found me. I would love to meet the little guy down the road. The love you and William share with eachother is so beautiful and real.}
The little guy in this momma’s tummy didn’t stop moving. All thoughout her pregancy, the little guy inside moved non-stop! Her doctors worried that he might arrive early like his big sister did, but he held on tight and arrived about 2 weeks before his scheduled arrival.

{Kim and Liam, your family so beautiful. Thank you for giving me the oppertunity to share in these special moments with you. I feel truly honoured.}
This beautiful couple also had a little guy! April and May were just chalked full of little guys.
It’s so magical meeting couples who have been together since they were very young.
All of the patience and hard work paid off, your little guy is a breath of fresh air!

{Erin and Chris, you guys are amazing. Little Noah is also quite amazing if I do say so myself! Thank you for seeking me out. I hope your sessions were exactly what you were looking for and more.}
Now I am going to present what seems to be the only little girl who came to visit me since my last entry. (Little girls are very rare some months.)
This sweet little gal has one of the prettiest names…Summer.
She was an amazing little model. She was content and peaceful other than frowing her eye brows at me for pretty much the entire session. (No matter what I did, she kept on frowing her eye brows together –so I dubbed her the super serious baby.)

{An early congrats to Summer’s mom and dad on their up coming wedding. I hope it’s everything you ever dreamed of and more.}

I am still behind in my blogging….
But I HAD to share images from this session.
Janelle, is one of the most easy going, relaxed momma-to-be that I have ever met. She is also one of the most stunning women I have had the oppertunity to photograph. She was up for anything – and that is one of the best attitudes to have when your getting your maternity portraits taken.
Her super cute honey, was also a great pleasure to work with.
I know that they are both going to be amazing parents.

Nothing is more beautiful than the shape and form of a pregnant woman.

One of my new favourite couple’s shot. I think they just look so adorable together : )
{thank you Janelle for being so amazing. Thank you to Adam for being so caring and attentive. It was a great pleasure to photograph your maternity session and to photograph little Ella! I can’t wait to share her images with you guys.}

I have been a bad little blogger lately
I have been slightly busier than normal, it seems like bellies and babies are popping out of everywhere, and I have been shooting and editing like a crazy woman. (I am definitely not complaining since I have had the oppertunity to meet some amazing couples and newborns.)
Here a couple of images from some of my recent sessions….More to come soon, I promise

This image was inspired by the one and only Carrie Sandoval from Captured by Carrie & Baby as Art. She is one of my biggest influences in my photography. Her image that inspired this shot was one of the first Captured by Carrie images that I ever layed my eyes on. It was this image that made me fall instantly in love with her work. Her newborn work has also played a roll in my newborn photography as well. Her influence as also inspired me to put away my studio strobes and give natural light photography a try…. IF only I had some windows in my studio! (next studio, I promise)

This beautiful momma-to-be and her hubby, were amazing to photograph. Each frame was captivating….(this is their serious, we are about to have a baby face!)

I am so in love with the above image.

I also love very simple belly images. Capturing the belly in true form –there is nothing like it.
{ Thank you to M & G for being up for anything, and bringing my inspiration to life. And D, I hope your valentine’s day surprise was a hit!}

I have been truly blessed with clients how are not afraid to show alittle skin, when it comes to getting their maternity sessions done.
I have also been blessed with clients who have the coolest tattoos. (I am fascinated by tattoos myself….eventhough I have none of my own) This beautiful momma -to-be is no exception to the cool tattoo trend I have been seeing lately. I am just enthralled by the artwork on her side and on her belly.

Each and every time I get the oppertunity to photograph a new belly I fall so much more in love with Maternity photography.
I believe that every woman should do at least one maternity photo shoot in their life.
Whether it’s your first pregnancy or your third – these are the memories you want to hang on to.
To me, there is nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman.
Just knowing that within that belly there is a brand new life…someones brand new child….someones only child…..someones 3rd or 4th child —completely amazes me!!
Thank you for allowing me to capture this moment for you.

Baby #2 on it’s way | Edmonton Maternity Photographer
Seems like all of my previous clients are having their second babies all at the same time
Little man Cole is patiently awaiting the arrival of his new little brother or sister. He has grown so much since the last time I saw him.
I can’t wait to meet your new little sister or brother. Take care.

Big Hugs for his momma!

2 + 2 = 4 | Edmonton Maternity Photographer
This proud moma of two beautiful girls is about to welcome two more baby girls into this world. Four girls….one 5, one 2.5 and two….just minutes away from being born.
I couldn’t even imagine being pregnant with twins let alone be a parent to four girls under the age of 6! (yikes!)
Big sisters E & K will be there to help out and keep their new baby sisters out of trouble!
Congratulations from going from 2 to 4 in 9 months flat

mommies and sons | Edmonton Child Photographer
There is nothing quite like the bond between a mommy and her son.
This little guy is expecting a baby brother or sister in the next little while, so we figured that we should capture these moments of him and his mommy before the new one arrives.

This is my second auction winner from the Canada Place Child Care Society silent auction I donated to this spring. With everyones generous donations, over $10 000 was raised for the society. (way to go!!!)
Providing new toys, equipment and funds for educational field trips for the year.
I can’t wait to participate again next year.

I had the greatest oppertunity last month to photograph an old high school friend of mine. Through the wonderful powers of facebook we found each other again!
I had a fabulous time reconnecting and chatting. I still can’t believe how much time has gone by since our Scona days. (all grown up with: houses, babies {four legged for me}, careers, husbands/boyfriends –where did the time go, seriously!)
You are exactly the same as I remember: giggly, smiley, cheeky and gorgeous!
I can not wait to meet your little miss!
It was great to meet your very sweet and loving honey.
Your butterfly tattoo seriously rocks! (all of your tattoos rock…but the butterfly is definitely my favourite!)
2 commentsFor the second time ! | Edmonton Maternity Photographer
This is the second time Jacqie and her family have stopped by to do a maternity session with me! It seems like just yesterday that she was in getting her belly photographed for the first time. (it is honestly amazing how much I have grown as a photographer since the last time they were in. It also amazes me how much “stuff I have accumulated since their first session!)
I hope it was worth your trip back! I can’t wait to meet the new arrival!
