I am seriously in baby heaven right now. My calendar is jam packed waiting for babies to arrive! (it makes me wonder what was in the water…..7.5 months ago, cause seriously we are in the midst of a baby BOOM)

This wee-one came to visit me slightly older than my regular newborns, but she was up for the challenge. She was bright eyed and wide awake the whole session, so we were unable to achieve any sleepy curly images, but I think we got some great images nevertheless.

Photographing families sometimes scare me…Especially until I have the oppertunity to meet the lovely family who would like me to photograph them.  I just never know, what I am getting myself into I am way more comfortable photographing kids on their own, than in a family dynamic.

It is honestly one of the hardest things to do as a photographer is get 4 or 5 individuals to look good and looking straight into the camera in a photograph when one of them is under the age of 3. 

But, then I get a fantastic family, who just wants to be in a photograph together, and it doesn’t matter if they are all looking at the camera. All that matters is that they are together.  Together as a family.

I am not going to be sharing those images, those images are for the momma to share. I am going to share the uber cute kids and a shot of something truly amazing!

This is the momma’s little guy. She told me yesterday that I captured him perfectly.

And oh my. Never in my life was I ever this flexible!  It was truly amazing. She could have sat there for hours for me.

I have been truly blessed with clients how are not afraid to show alittle skin, when it comes to getting their maternity sessions done. 

I have also been blessed with clients who have the coolest tattoos. (I am fascinated by tattoos myself….eventhough I have none of my own) This beautiful momma -to-be is no exception to the cool tattoo trend I have been seeing lately.  I am just enthralled by the artwork on her side and on her belly.

This sweet little guy was just over 6 week old when he stopped by to see me. 

After many years his parents were finally blessed with this beautiful little guy.

I love baby toes! They are just so cubby and kissable.

So after a long hiatus, I am finally back. I am steady working on the last sessions of 2009 . (bad I know, but some how –I lost track of time….and shot too many sessions in the holiday session.) But I am working full steam a head and getting the last bits done, so I can focus on the sessions I have photographed in 2010!  (can you believe it’s 2010 already! OMG, where on earth did the time go!)

Ten years ago….my nephew was born (and I was there seeing him…not in the room, but I got to meet him just hours after he was born - and now he will be 10 and it taller than I am) and I graduated from high school. (my god, I can’t honestly believe it. My 10 year reunion is planned for this June!)

This year, I will be focusing on growing and expanding my maternity and newborn work…. I still have so much I want to do and learn!  I foresee some casting calls in the near future!

9 months is the best time to photograph a baby! This stage is SO full of expression and cuteness; it’s so incredible to watch. Babies at this time will smile, giggle and pretty much drool on command.

They now know what tickles are and how to respond to them. They also know and understand silly sounds and funny faces.

It is so amazing how much their minds have grown in the short 270 days they have been alive.

I love their chubbiness. I love their big beautiful eyes. I love their eyelashes. I love their little cooing sounds. I love their big slobbery kisses.

Here is my latest little 9 month old and he is super cute, super happy and super smiley. You honestly can’t really ask for much more than that.

One year older….One year bigger…One year smarter

With a brand new hair cut; this not so little girl is ready to take on the world. Some may reconize this sweet little face from her post last year.

She is seriously the biggest ham bone ever. She is full of giggles and funny faces!

But she does have a serious side to her….

But before you know it, she is back to silly faces and non stop laughter.

Sweet baby Rory was a dream to photograph. She slept like an angel.

I love her name. (I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan….but this little Rory was not named after the Rory character on the show.)

I LOVE the hand on the foot shot.

She did not want to have her legs crossed on her daddy’s arm….it took many attempts to get this shot.

I also love…love…love her back wrinkles!

Each and every time I get the oppertunity to photograph a new belly I fall so much more in love with Maternity photography. 

I believe that every woman should do at least one maternity photo shoot in their life. 

Whether it’s your first pregnancy or your third – these are the memories you want to hang on to.

To me, there is nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman.

Just knowing that within that belly there is a brand new life…someones brand new child….someones only child…..someones 3rd or 4th child —completely amazes me!!
